New Year, New Perspectives: Greater Manchester Chamber Enhances Board Roster

The Greater Manchester Chamber (GMC) is pleased to announce the addition of dynamic new members to its Board of Directors and re-election of current leadership, fortifying the organization’s commitment to excellence and growth. Guided by Board Chair Matt Cookson, President & CEO of Cookson Communications, and Vice Chair Trinnie Houghton, CEO of Ripple Effect Studio, the GMC positions itself for continued success in leading the mission of enhancing economic success and overall quality of life in Greater Manchester and the wider region.

Sheila McNeil from Wipfli will continue in her crucial role as Treasurer, overseeing the financial aspects of the GMC Board. Ernesto Burden of Yankee Publishing will continue to serve as Secretary, ensuring effective governance, and John Kacavas of Dartmouth Health fills the important role of Legal Counsel as an ex-officio board member.

The newly appointed board members were elected at the December Board meeting to a three-year term effective January 1, 2024. They are Brian Bicknell, President of Manchester Community College; Jennifer Gilkie, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer of Dartmouth Health; Michael Licata, Director of Government Affairs at Eversource Energy; and Ramey Sylvester, Director of Corporate, M&A, and Securities at McLane Middleton.

Expressing appreciation for their ongoing contributions, the GMC and its Board extended gratitude to outgoing board members Mike Decelle of the UNH College of Professional Studies, Keri Laman of Tidewater Catering Group, Genella McDonald of Stibler Associates, and Joe Raczka of York IE.

As the GMC ventures into 2024, the board remains dedicated to advancing the organization’s vision, fostering community engagement, and supporting businesses in Greater Manchester.
