The NH Fisher Cats Present the 2025 Manchester Chicken Tender Passport

et ready to dip, dunk, and devour your way through the Queen City! The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Chicken Tender Passport, a city-wide celebration of Manchester’s most beloved culinary claim to fame: the chicken tender.

Running from June 7 through July 27, 2025, the Chicken Tender Passport invites locals and visitors alike to embark on a flavorful adventure across Manchester, NH — the Chicken Tender Capital of the World. The phrase the “Chicken Tender Capital of the World” was coined by Nick Lavallee of Wicked Joyful, who led a successful grassroots initiative that convinced the City of Manchester to officially adopt the title in 2023. Fans can collect signatures from participating restaurants to be entered into a raffle for prizes, vote on their favorite, and taste their way through a curated list of restaurants, local haunts, and eateries serving up their signature takes on the crispy classic.

The Chicken Tenders, one of the NH Fisher Cats’ alternative identities, return throughout the summer this year! Upcoming games include June 7^th and September 13^th as the Buffalo Chicken Tenders. The name is not only referring to one of the most delicious meals in Manchester, but they are also an homage to the 1974 invention of the chicken tender at Manchester’s Puritan Backroom Restaurant.

Participants who turn in their passport will be eligible for special prizes, including a VIP Suite at the September 13th Buffalo Chicken Tenders Game, free chicken tenders for a year at the Manchester Red Arrow, gift cards to participating locations, and of course, the ultimate bragging rights as a Certified Chicken Tender Connoisseur.

There are 8 suggested spots on the passport, but room to try others too! The reality is, taste is subjective - but good chicken tenders are universal! The organizers of this passport want to hear about your favorite spots for tendies in Manchester!

Chicken Tender Passports are available at Delta Dental Stadium, participating restaurants, the Greater Manchester Chamber, and online!

Turn in your completed passports to the Greater Manchester Chamber, 54 Hanover Street, by July 26th, 2025 for your chance to win big! Passports can be dropped off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
