oward Brodsky, Co-Founder and Chairman of CCA Global Partners, was named the 70th Citizen of the Year at the Greater Manchester Chamber’s (GMC) 2023 Citizen of the Year Celebration, presented by The Elliot on Thursday, April 4th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester NH Downtown. Despite a surprising April Nor’easter, the room was full of members of the greater Manchester business community who braved the storm to show their support and join in the celebration.

"Howard’s leadership and vision have significantly contributed to the growth of the cooperative business model worldwide. And yet, right here, in the city where he was raised, Howard has also positively impacted and supported many community organizations and individuals. The exceptional duality of giving so much to the greater Manchester community, while sparking meaningful, international progress, makes Howard Brodsky an incredibly deserving Citizen of the Year."

Global Impact

The Greater Manchester Chamber’s 2023 Citizen of the Year Celebration honored CCA Global Partners’ Howard Brodsky as the 70th Citizen of the Year, recognizing him as a leader and role model who has brought heart and ingenuity to create unique solutions to complex societal problems in our city, state and even globally. As both a businessman and a community leader, Brodsky’s kind, and selfless nature threads through all his actions. He doesn’t just support an effort or cause; he champions it with passion. This year’s honoree celebration video, created by Kendal J. Bush Photography and sponsored by Bank Prov, referred to Brodsky as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in New Hampshire. “He has devoted his entrepreneurialism to community. It’s not just that he’s so deeply rooted in this community of Manchester but through his business, through his philanthropy, he’s always thinking of community in the broadest sense and how we can all come together in common cause to strengthen those communities that define us” (Dick Ober, President of NH Charitable Foundation).

"Howard is a lighthouse. He stands firmly and flashes the light and you know where safety is. He doesn’t tilt at the wind, and he doesn’t change directions. You can only do that when you have a true compass that points north. Howard’s compass points north."

When addressing the crowd, Howard emphasized the important point that, “Love is what we should be emanating in everything we do. I know that I process things with my head, but there’s not a decision I don’t make from my heart.” Following the honoree’s remarks, the crowd enjoyed a beautiful performance from the professional dance company, NSquared who were introduced by Joan Brodsky, Artistic Director of the New Hampshire Dance Collaborative. A champagne toast, given by Anne Bilodeau of Brady Sullivan Properties rounded out the evening.
