The team has more than 120 years of experience working with small businesses to help them grow and be successful, resilient, and always prepared to respond to the unexpected.

SCORE New Hampshire continues to be the state’s largest and most proficient provider of business mentoring and educational services through over 175 certified mentors from six regional chapters. No-fee confidential services include one-on-one mentoring, email mentoring, workshops, and easy online access to business information and self-guided programs and tools. Expertise and support is provided on a variety of key topic areas, including new business ventures, securing business loans, business planning and growth, divestitures, investments, and even bankruptcies.

Manchester Economic Development Office (MEDO)

The SBGPA grant program was designed to both provide relief to businesses that have experienced significant negative financial impacts associated with COVID-19 and to allow for investments enabling future pandemic-related resilience, with awards for small businesses of up to $10,000. MEDO also oversees the Manchester Small Business Recovery Loan Program for businesses with 50 or fewer employees with a brick and mortar location in the City of Manchester that were directly impacted by the mandatory business closure order.

The mission of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund is to serve as a catalyst, leveraging financial, human, and civic resources to enable traditionally underserved people to participate more fully in New Hampshire’s economy. This is accomplished by providing loans, capital, and technical assistance; complementing and extending the reach of conventional lenders and public institutions; and bringing people and institutions together to solve problems.

Small Business Administration (SBA)

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is an autonomous U.S. government agency established in 1953 to bolster and promote the economy in general by providing assistance to small businesses. One of the largest functions of the SBA is the provision of counseling to aid individuals trying to start and grow businesses. The agency provides a wealth of online tools to assist small businesses including a small business planner and additional training programs. Localized SBA offices throughout the United States offer in-person, one-on-one counseling services that include business plan writing instruction, and assistance with small business loans.

City of Manchester Master Plan

​​The City of Manchester’s Master Plan Document, adopted by the Planning Board in August 2021, is a guide for physical development, as well as the strategic development of a vibrant, walkable, and healthy place to live, work, and play. The Master Plan Document is the accumulation of many hours of hard work and passion vested by the Steering Committee and the product of two years of research, public outreach, and
thousands of comments by its residents. It will function as a critical resource when considering new policies, planning, and programming new infrastructure, evaluating new
development applications, and coordinating with outside agencies.
